Our promise
Nothing you write here is ever sent to an AI
That is not because we are behind. It is because we are careful with what you carry.
The things you bring here, your shame, your marriage, the sin you have told no one, are too sacred to hand to a machine. They were never meant for an algorithm. They were meant for Him.
So nothing you pour out in Restore is read by, or used to train, any AI. It stays on your phone. If you choose to back it up, the backup is locked with a key only you hold, so even we cannot read it.
Restore will not sit in the chair that belongs to the Holy Spirit. We cannot bring you close to Jesus; only He does that. We are simply a tool to help you turn toward Him and His Word, and then get out of the way, and let the One who already knows you completely do the rest.
In plain words
- What you write in the Journal and in My Walk is never sent to, read by, or used to train any AI.
- It is kept on your phone. If you turn on backup, an encrypted copy is stored online that only your backup key can unlock. Neither we nor our providers can read it.
- Restore looks for certain words in what you write so it can suggest Scripture and show support resources. That happens on your phone only, and nothing from it is sent anywhere.
- The one exception is something you choose to send us yourself, through Share Your Story. That goes to a person, and a person reads it. It is not read by an AI.
The full detail is in our Privacy Policy.
How Restore is made
The voices that read prayers, lessons, devotions and the bedtime readings in The Night aloud in Restore are AI voices, not recordings of a real person. The words it reads are Restore’s own, written ahead of time, and the narration was made ahead of time too. Some other audio and the opening film were also produced with generative tools. None of that involves anything you write. We would rather say so plainly than leave you to wonder.
